My name is Jovan Miller originally from Syracuse, NY. I’m a graduate of Syracuse University (2011) where I was a former student-athlete in lacrosse at the school. I’m the university’s second black lacrosse player to receive the designation of All-American since Jim Brown. The game of lacrosse has been the most important platform for my message of true inclusion in not just the game, but in society as a whole. I continue to spread that message in the most positive and impactful way possible through my various platforms; whether that be via social media, or at my day job of teaching middle school. I believe I would be irresponsible if I didn’t use my experiences to help inspire and educate the next generation.
